Dr. Luc Bonneau, French, graduated from Cranfield University in 2004 with an MSc in Irrigation and a PhD in Plant Physiology, focusing on plant water use efficiency. After completing his studies, he joined the sweet banana industry in Ivory Coast, where he worked on a 1000-hectare industrial plantation for Canavese. Subsequently, he moved to Cameroon to work in the rubber industry, and in 2008, he was involved in developing a 10,000-hectare greenfield project in Cambodia for SOCFIN.
In 2009, Dr. Bonneau joined Cargill Group as a Field Manager in Milne Bay, Papua New Guinea, responsible for FFB (Fresh Fruit Bunch) production on a 7700-hectare oil palm plantation. Following the sale of assets to NBPOL, he was transferred to New Ireland to restore a declining plantation. In 2012, responsible for revitalizing the oil palm research sector, both in the private and public domains he took on the role of Director Research at OPRS for 7 years, Managing Director of PNGOPRA for 6 years, and Administrator of Verdant Bioscience in Indonesia for 6 years.
Dr. Bonneau served as a permanent member of the Sime Darby Plantation Scientific Advisory Committee for three years. During this time, he also engaged and completed in 2020 an Executive MBA with Bradford University. In 2020, he joined a tropical crop consultancy start-up in the UK.
In September 2022, he assumed the position of CEO at Bayacao and currently resides in Las Terrenas, Dominican Republic, with his wife and daughter.

Sustainability Manager
Is an Ecuadorian Environmental Engineer by profession, graduated from the Escuela Politécnica Nacional. His work experience began at the Condensed Matter Laboratory of the Escuela Politécnica Nacional in Quito, Ecuador.
He worked as a laboratory assistant for 13 months, where his main responsibilities included synthesizing graphene to create graphene electrodes and using a CDI technique for water desalination. He also managed hazardous waste through labeling and storage.
Afterward, he joined KPV de Ecuador, a consulting company that provides external services to various organizations in the country. In this company, he worked as an HSE (Health, Safety, and Environment) assistant for 10 months, specifically on a project for the development of HSE regulations for the public drinking water company in the Antonio Ante canton, Imbabura province, Ecuador.
His tasks involved assisting in the establishment of the HSE baseline for the regulations, environmental compliance, adherence to regulations, HSE training, risk assessment matrices, monitoring of HSE action plans, waste management, and contributing to the supervision of HSE processes.
Oscar joined Bayacao in November 2022 and works in the Monte Plata province.

Is an agronomist engineer, of Italian French nationality, first graduated in Italy at the Faculty of Viticulture and Oenology at the University of Pisa, with professional experiences at different wineries in Italy, France and Chile.
He later obtained the Diploma of Agronomist at ENSAT (National School of Agronomists of Toulouse). During these years of studies, he had different work experiences in South Africa in an animal protection center and again in South America, in Argentina in the wood industry sector and in Brazil in a sugar cane and orange production farm.
After completing his studies in France, he was able to carry out an International Corporate Volunteering (Volontaire International en Entreprise) in the Dominican Republic for the company CMF Groupe as sales development manager and finally worked for 6 years for the company TIMAC AGRO in Guadeloupe and the Dominican Republic as a sales technician in different crops such as: bananas, vegetables, horticulture, tropical fruits, etc.
These experiences have given him a strong adaptability to new working sectors, in different countries, cultures and languages. The latest work experience has allowed him to meet the cocoa cultivation and to meet people in the cocoa sector of the Dominican Republic, who have allowed him to enter their world and to develop his passion for this sector and product.
Alessio joined Bayacao in January 2023 and works in the Monte Plata province.

Freddy Nicolás García holds a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration from the Technological University of Santiago (UTESA) and is currently pursuing a Master’s in Corporate Finance and Capital Markets at Universidad Anáhuac in Mexico. He has also completed complementary training in financial education, business etiquette, and regulatory compliance. He began his professional journey as an insurance adjuster at JA de los Santos, where he evaluated claims and produced technical reports. In 2021, he entered the financial sector as a Business Officer at Promipyme, managing government-regulated credit portfolios and developing expertise in financial analysis, risk control, and regulatory compliance. He later joined Scotiabank, first in Río San Juan and then as a Premium Relations Officer in Las Terrenas, serving high-profile clients with tailored financial solutions while ensuring compliance with regulatory frameworks, including AML policies. In 2024, Freddy joined Bayacao as Treasury and Compliance Manager, and currently serves as the company’s Operational Performance & Compliance Controller. In this role, he leads initiatives in compliance, financial control, corporate governance, and operational performance, contributing to the company’s structural strengthening and supporting its ongoing transformation and growth. Freddy is known for his analytical thinking, structural vision, and operational focus. His leadership is defined by a balance of technical rigor, strategic planning, and a firm commitment to institutional integrity.

Sara Rivera Padilla, Dominicana, completed her primary education at Las Terrenas Antonio Castillo Lora School and her secondary studies at Santo Esteban Rivera High School. She graduated from the Universidad Abierta Para Adultos (UAPA) in 2011 with a degree in Business Administration.
In her professional career, she has worked for companies such as CSS Grupo Ratio, SRL (Privilege Club) and Hispaniam del Atlántico from 2014 to 2021 as an HR Manager Assistant, overseeing four (4) offices located at Bahía Príncipe Hotels in Las Terrenas, Cayo Levantado, Samaná, and Río San Juan, managing over 200 employees. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, her work with these companies ended. In February 2021, she started working for Samán Boutique Hotel as the Human Resources Manager, where she was specifically responsible for creating the entire Human Resources Management system. Currently, since July 2023, she has been working for BAYACAO as the Human Resources Manager. This role has been a new and enriching experience due to the unique nature of the company's operations. She describes herself as a responsible, dedicated professional with over 11 years of experience in Human Resources, possessing strong communication skills and expertise in staff management, the ability to work under pressure, and a commitment to achieving expected results.

is a french agronomist engineer specializing in tropical crop production. He is graduated at the school of ISTOM in Angers, France, since 2020.
During these years of study, he was able to work in several countries in central and south America (Mexico, Colombia, Costa Rica) on coffee and cocoa plantations belonging to both small-scale producers and industrial companies. In April 2021, He started to work in Ecuador in a cocoa plantation for the company Eko Kakao Hacienda Eleonor for a 6 month period. The main task was to manage the cocoa production and post-harvesting process.. In 2021, he joined Bayacao initially as farm manager then later as the position of research and development manager. Andreas is now the Bayacao Mundial Premium Factory Manager and works in the Monte Plata province .

Loana Bermudez is a Costa Rican agronomist with a well-rounded background in agriculture and field operations. Since graduating from EARTH University in 2016, she has gained diverse experience in crop production, certifications, and project management across different regions. Her career began in 2010 at Fyffes Bananas International as an Administrative Assistant, providing her with valuable organizational skills. In 2017, Loana managed certifications and environmental practices at Buena Vista Lodge in Guanacaste, Costa Rica, overseeing pest control and compliance standards. Later that year, she joined Kona Hills LLC in Hawaii as a Fertility and Plant Health Specialist, managing nurseries and supporting a 700-hectare coffee plantation. Her role also involved the import and quarantine of coffee varieties and exploring aspects of coffee roasting and cupping. In 2020, she worked in Turkey on the development of an aquaculture business in Artvin, fostering partnerships with the Black Sea University and exploring markets for the commercialization of fresh rainbow trout. By 2022, she was working in Costa Rica, at Finca La Tortuga, a conventional cacao farm transitioning to organic on the Caribbean province of Limón. She was responsible for data collection, plant health inspections, and coordinating with local authorities to support the transition process, gaining valuable experience in cacao production and compliance standards. During this time, she also focused on pesticide-free vegetables and mushrooms for local markets. In 2023, Loana expanded her scope as an Agricultural Consultant, advising on diverse crops and supporting her family’s business. In 2024, she joined BAYACAO as a Farm Operations Assistant in Bayaguana, Monte Plata, where she contributes to the farm’s daily operations with a practical and adaptable approach. She has been newly promoted to Deputy Manager in July 2025
Quality and Certification Manager

Patricio Achával. Agricultural engineer from the National University of the South, Argentina. Specialized in intensive production, biotechnology, and quality with a postgraduate degree in bird and mammal metabolism.
With experience in the private sector as a quality inspector at the origin of export products and as director of quarantine treatment chambers focused on the responsible use of biocides. Outstanding extension agent in the Carpocapsa control program, achieving significant reductions of this pest in pear and apple trees. In the Dominican Republic he served as pest control coordinator in the tourism sector where he faced the arrival of the Mediterranean fly. He also stood out in the agricultural machinery market by carrying out strategic plans for incorporating technology. Throughout his career he has developed agricultural management systems based on administrative tools, applying knowledge of quality and economics to improve the efficiency of field work. He has also stood out as a leader in the quality department working to certify low-income organic producers. He joined BAYACAO in August 2023 as a certification officer an currently is the quality and certification manager.
